It’s an exciting time to visit Disneyland!

The 100th anniversary celebrations are getting ready to kick off in the parks, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is about to open, the Lunar New Year festival has started in Disney California Adventure, and so much more. We’ve been making our way around the resort trying new eats and exploring new merchandise — let’s see everything new at Disneyland Resort!

Disneyland Food Updates

Red Rose Taverne

Over at Red Rose Taverne, we got our hands on the Gourmet Breakfast Sandwich made with herb blend and creme fraîche egg, maple butter spread, muenster cheese, and crispy bacon all sandwiched within a toasted English muffin. It’s also served with a side of Taverne Potato Bites, also known as tater tots.

This sandwich is $10.99, and it’s a solid eat if you’re looking for something hearty to eat in the morning!

Disneyland Merchandise Updates

Emporium

In the Emporium, we spotted the Mickey and Pluto Kids Spirit Jersey for $54.99.

There’s another Spirit Jersey here — the Kids Bleached Spot Spirit Jersey. It also costs $54.99.

Star Wars fans can grab the Greatest in the Galaxy Hat for $29.99.

Looking to upgrade your keychain collection? There’s a Dumbo Keychain!

And lastly in the Emporium, there’s a Minnie Steiff Plush.

This plush is $39.99.

Candy Palace

Munchlings are one of the newest Disney collections, and there are some new designs! That includes the Mike Wazowski Munchling Plush…

Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year festival has officially kicked off in Disney California Adventure and will last until February 15th, 2023! There are several food booths around the festival, along with special items at existing restaurants in the park.

Award Wieners

If you’re looking for a couple of delicious snacks that are not a part of Lunar New Year, we’ve got you covered! We tried the Blueberry Bacon Funnel Cake Fries for $9.49 from Award Wieners. These funnel cake fries are covered in diced bacon, blueberry compote, whipped topping, and finished off with a drizzle of maple syrup. YUM.

For a savory option, we tried the Cubano Dog for $15.49. On the toasted Telera bread, you’ll get a hot dog, Mojo pork, Cubano-style ham, Pepperjack cheese, pickles, and Mojo mustard with a side of a side of Mandarin oranges or their Filmstrip Fries.

We loved the Cubano Dog here and we were pleasantly surprised by how well the flavors worked on the Funnel Cake Fries! Read our full review of these items below.

Downtown Disney Construction Updates

WonderGround Gallery

WonderGround Gallery is currently closed for behind-the-scenes refurbishment, so there is a temporary location over at the ESPN Zone building.

Disney Home

While Downtown Disney goes through a major makeover, Disney Home is also closed for some behind-the-scenes construction, according to Disney.

We’ll be on the lookout for its reopening!

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen has officially closed for refurbishment. Disney recently announced that the restaurant would get a makeover and change its name to Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio.

There will be a new menu, but never fear! The iconic beignets will return. Stay tuned for more updates from this restaurant!

Monorail

We noticed some construction over at the Downtown Disney Monorail Station.

Don’t worry, though — the Monorail is still running!

General

The 100th anniversary kicks off on January 27th at Disneyland Resort, and it looks like even the construction walls wanted in on the celebration!

If there are going to be a bunch of construction walls in Downtown Disney, at least they are festive!
