The Disney World Hotel Mistake You’ll Make in 2023

After a long, hot day at Disney, taking a dip in the pool is the best feeling ever. Maybe you even schedule a whole day of your trip to take a break from the parks and lounge by the gorgeous pools at Disney’s resorts.

How relaxing!

If trips to the pool are an important part of your Disney vacation, you’ll want to keep reading so you don’t make a huge mistake when planning your next trip to Disney!

Just like any other attraction at Disney, the pools sometimes close for routine maintenance to keep them beautiful and sanitary. Several pools at Disney World will be closed throughout 2023, so be sure to click here to check out our list of those when deciding where to stay.

Fear not, though! We have plenty of resort options for you to check out if you’re looking to hang out by the pool on your vacation.

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Yacht and Beach Club are two of our favorite Deluxe Hotels, located a short walk away from the Skyliner and the International Gateway at Epcot! Plus, you can hop on a quick boat ride to Hollywood Studios! We love the great location, but what’s even better is the pool.

Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club

Yacht and Beach Club share Stormalong Bay, which is basically a water park right outside your hotel room. The giant pool has a sand bottom and a lazy river feature that will make you feel like you’re relaxing at the beach!

Plus, there’s a pretty cool waterslide.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Riviera is another great deluxe resort option at Disney World. With direct Skyliner access, you can travel nearly anywhere on property with ease! Plus, the pools at Riviera are some of our favorites.

Riviera Pool

You can visit the Riviera Pool or the Beau Soleil Pool — which are both heated! However, we recommend the Riviera Pool for the amazing waterslide!

There’s even S’il Vous Play — an area designed for small kiddos to splash around!

Port Orleans – French Quarter

Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is a great moderate resort with an even better pool!

Doubloon Lagoon overlooks the Sassalouga River and features an awesome slide that looks like a sea serpent! Plus, there are adorable Mardi Gras alligators scattered throughout the pool area.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Art of Animation is a great value resort — and perfect for those of you with small kiddos.

This resort has the largest resort pool on Disney property: The Big Blue Pool — a Finding Nemo themed pool!

There are two more pools as well — the Cozy Cone Pool (Cars-themed) and the Flippin’ Fins Pool (The Little Mermaid theme).

There are so many fantastic resort options at Disney World with pools that should be open throughout your trip. We hope you find them as fun and relaxing as we do!
