We Were NOT Expecting These Crowds in Disney World This Weekend

It’s another runDisney weekend in Disney World!

Princess Half Marathon Weekend

runDisney weekends means that guests should expect traffic delays and closed roads to keep the runners safe. It also means that crowds can be a lot more intense in the parks than on other winter and early spring weekends — let’s check them out together.

Yesterday (Saturday), we noticed that crowds were a little intense on Main Street, U.S.A

…and they continued to be a little heavy throughout the rest of the park, but it really just seemed like a slightly busier Saturday than normal.

Frontierland Crowds

Today, crowds are actually quite low for a runDisney weekend, which had us pleasantly surprised! This morning, the Magic Kingdom Monorail wasn’t needing to use its full queue line, which was a great sign.

We wondered if crowds would get more intense as it got later in the day once the races were over, but things stayed steady. We did see Haunted Mansion quite backed up though!

Wait times today have looked great as well, with some of the most popular rides in the whole resort being 80-85 minutes around 3:30PM.

Not bad for a runDisney Sunday!

And that’s what crowds are looking like this runDisney weekend! Keep in mind, each runDisney weekend is different in terms of crowds, so it’s a good idea to always be prepared for the worst. Here’s a look at a previous runDisney weekend in Disney World just so you can get an idea!
