Eric Stonestreet and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias are joining the cast of “The Santa Clauses” season two.
Iglesias will be a series regular, playing Kris Kringle, the owner and operator of a Christmas-themed amusement park called Santaland. According to Deadline, Kris Kringle is “Sweet, happy, and perpetually-optimistic” and “a warm, generous soul who is determined to keep his struggling theme park afloat. However, his belief in Santa and love for all things Christmas may not be enough.”
Eric Stonestreet will portray Magnus Antas, a.k.a. the Mad Santa, “who reigned during the 14th century and is now returning to try and take down Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) and reclaim the North Pole.”
According to Deadline, in “The Santa Clauses” season two “the Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans were thwarted when failing to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Calvin to eventually take over the ‘family business’ as Santa Claus.”
Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Claus, Austin Kane as Cal Claus, and Devin Bright as Noel are all returning as series regulars. Matilda Lawler will return as Betty as a recurring guest star.
Newcomer Marta Kessler will guest star as Olga, “a surly, take-no-prisoners gnome” and sidekick to Mad Santa.
Returning guest stars include Liam Kyle as Gary, Isabella Bennett as Edie, Sasha Knight as Crouton, Ruby Jay as Riley, Mia Lynn Bangunan as Pontoon, and Laura San Giacomo as La Befana, the Christmas Witch.
