PHOTOS: TRON Lightcycle / Run Team Green Post-Show Opens at Magic Kingdom

Guests visiting TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom for previews this week were the first to see the newly opened Team Green post-show.

TRON Lightcycle / Run riders walk through the Hall of Opponents, featuring racers from Team Yellow, Team Red, and Team Orange. Riders become part of Team Blue and compete against Team Orange during the events of the attraction.

After the ride, guests can learn about the new racing team, Team Green, in the post-show area sponsored by Enterprise. The entire room is lit with green lights and the Team Green Lightcycle is at the center.

Signs around the room display images and information about the Team Green members. Here’s Nexus, the Innovation Director. The displays will be switched out periodically to feature other stories of the twelve Team Green members.

There are a number of references to the TRON universe, including repeated references to MK2, the internal project name for TRON Lightcycle / Run. SDL is also present a few times, a reference to the original attraction at Shanghai Disneyland.

“782” is a reference to TRON’s original release date of July 9, 1982.

For the past few weeks, Disney has been conducting previews of TRON Lightcycle / Run, with Cast Members and Annual Passholders getting the first chance to experience the attraction. We were fortunate enough to experience this highly anticipated attraction during the Cast Member previews.

TRON Lightcycle / Run began its Annual Passholder previews this past weekend. The walkway to Storybook Circus is currently being used as the exit for the previews.

Annual Passholders hoping to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run multiple times during Annual Passholder preview days will have to wait until the attraction’s official grand opening on April 4, 2023. Disney is only allowing Passholders only one ride per day on Annual Passholder previews. Disney Vacation Club and D23 Gold Member previews are still on the horizon.

Disney announced details of the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue.
