VIDEOS: Happily Ever After Fireworks RETURN to Disney World

We’re getting so close to the return of Magic Kingdom‘s Happily Ever After fireworks show!

Crowds AFTER the (then) final performance of ‘Happily Ever After’

We found out in September that this beloved show would be returning in a new way after Disney World’s 50th Anniversary ended. The show will replace the Disney Enchantment fireworks show. It’s set to return on April 3rd, 2023, and we just got a first look during a media event at Disney World. Come with us to check it out!

As a reminder, this new show isn’t exactly the same as the Happily Ever After you remember. Although most of the show is the same, Disney has added some new elements, including projections all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. Disney Enchantment was the first fireworks show in Disney World to have these projections down Main Street, and that element will now be carried over to Happily Ever After.

We took our places to watch the show — the anticipation was real! The last time we saw Happily Ever After was on September 29th, 2021, which we thought would be its last show ever.

We’ll go ahead and warn you now: you’re going to need to break out the tissues.

Here’s a look at those Main Street projections!

Remember this emotional moment? We’re not crying, you’re crying. (OK fine, we’re both crying.) 😭

Of course, you can’t forget the grand finale.

Don’t worry — Tinker Bell still flies from the Castle!

We’re super excited to have the show back in Magic Kingdom! Two years later, it still hits just as hard.

Happily Ever After will be replacing Disney Enchantment, which will be playing its last show on April 2nd. There’s a LOT going on in Disney World in April, including the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, the addition of a new snack stand in Magic Kingdom, and the return of the EPCOT Forever fireworks show. Stay tuned to DFB to keep up with all the latest Disney news!
