Count Yourself LUCKY If This Spot Is Open in EPCOT When You Visit

Okay, so we know it and you know it…but it can be hard to find decent pizza at quick-service locations in Disney World.

Now it DOES happen occasionally, but when we’re given options like Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom and PizzeRizzo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we know that good pizza is hard to come by when you just don’t want to sit down for a table service meal. However, there IS good quick-service pizza in Disney World, if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Of course, this pizza can be found at the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase. Where else would you find good pizza? But the thing is, this pizza isn’t always available. We’re talking about Pizza al Taglio, which is a walk-up window next to Via Napoli (which is a table service restaurant that has AMAZING PIZZA). This spot is only open seasonally.

But guess what? IT’S OPEN RIGHT NOW. And word is out because an HOUR before it opened, we saw a line of guests waiting to get their hands on a slice.

We’ll wait in line for good pizza

Here’s what you need to know about the pizza here: the pizza slices here are Sicilian-style slices, which means they’re square with a thick crust (which is different from the pizza from Via Napoli). But all you really need to know is in this photo here of the Pepperoni Pizza Slice we got.

It’s Sicilian-style pizza

This slice is not OVERLY cheesy (yes, believe it or not, that can happen) and has LOADS of beautiful pepperoni cups. It’s also light on the sauce. Plus the portion you get is pretty big. This could be split between two people as a snack.

Although this isn’t as flavorful as the pizza in Via Napoli (sorry, we have to compare it to our fave), we still think it’s one of the best quick-service pizza slices you can get. A slice here runs $9, which may seem a bit high for a slice of pizza, but, again, it’s a good value if you plan on splitting it with someone.

LOOK AT ALL THAT PEPPERONI!

So if you’ve got a pizza craving in EPCOT, be sure to run on over to Italy and see if Pizza al Taglio is open. We’ll let you know about any other seasonal spots opening up in Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
