Did you hear the HUGE news about TRON Lightcycle / Run?
Get ready to enter the Grid!
On Friday, March 17th, Disney told us that TRON will have a soft opening in Magic Kingdom! Some guests will be able to ride TRON: Lightcycle / Run EARLY from March 20th to April 2nd. This is two weeks sooner than guests would have been able to get on the ride, as the official opening date is April 4th. A limited number of slots for the virtual queues will be available, and Individual Lightning Lanes will be available to purchase as well. If you wanted to book a trip to take advantage of this soft opening, you might want to hurry, because park passes are selling out FAST.
When we went to check park pass reservation availability for the dates of the soft opening, we noticed that park passes for Annual Passholders are completely SOLD OUT for March 20th — the first day of the soft opening.

But… it’s not just the Incredi Pass that’s sold out of reservations for March 20th. It’s every single Annual Pass. WOW.

Every other date of the soft opening is open for the Sorcerer Pass, Pirate Pass, and Pixie Dust Pass though (excluding blockout dates), so it seems that everyone wanted to be the FIRST to experience this new attraction. We can’t say we blame them!

So if you were hoping to visit for the early opening, you can still reserve your spot on one of the later days (between March 21st and April 2nd)!

If you didn’t get a park reservation for the day you wanted, don’t worry! There are still several weekdays open — and worst-case scenario, you just ride after the official opening date!

Note that there are still park passes available for Disney World Resort guests and guests with theme park tickets, so you could also book a Disney World hotel or purchase a ticket in order to ride early.
