The tower of what was once the ESPN Club has been almost completely demolished as the building is turned into The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers.

Only the corner posts of the tower remain. It will be reconstructed for The Cake Bake Shop with a new look.

ESPN Club signage was completely removed last summer. The BoardWalk Bakery was also closed to make way for the BoardWalk Deli.

Wall paneling has been stripped from the building, revealing weather-proof sheathing and steel frames.

The Cake Bake Shop will include a quick-service bakery and table-service restaurant with separate entrances. The old ESPN Club entrance will lead to the bakery.

Guests will enter the table-service restaurant here, beneath the tower.

The construction walls showcase some of the food that might be available at The Cake Bake Shop, as well as concept art.

The updated building will have more windows than ESPN Club did.

While walls have been mostly removed from the gazebo-shaped section of the building beneath the tower, one wall remains intact on the side. Yellow weather-proof sheathing is visible.

The concept art above shows how the refurbished building will be covered in windows and lights. Planters will line an outdoor seating area.
