The Betty Boop Store in Universal’s Islands of Adventure has permanently closed to make way for the new Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Lounge.
Betty Boop Store
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders were able to enjoy their very own exclusive lounge at Universal Studios Florida, where they could relax and escape the crowds for a bit. Last year, we reported that the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder lounge would be moving to Islands of Adventure. The UOAP Lounge in Universal Studios Florida was scheduled to close on December 31, 2022, to begin the transition.
The Betty Boop Store in Islands of Adventure has had black curtains covering the doors and windows for a while now. As of today, The Betty Boop Store was also removed from Universal Orlando’s website.
The “Betty Boop” signature from the famous cartoon still remains on the store’s windows, along with a border of cartoon red hearts. At this time, it is unclear as to whether this will remain or be removed.
The Betty Boop Store resided in Toon Lagoon, which is the land at Islands of Adventure to not only ride some popular water rides (and get absolutely soaked), but also to see some classic cartoon characters such as Betty Boop, Popeye, and Rocky & Bullwinkle.
The Betty Boop Store was the place to go if you needed any merchandise of America’s cartoon sweetheart. They had everything from shirts to pajamas, to mugs, to jewelry. We will be on the lookout to see if this merchandise will be dispersed among the other gift shops at both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
Due to the theming of the land, it is unlikely that the façade of the Betty Boop Store will change.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Lounge
Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Lounges are an exclusive area that guests may go in to ask any questions they may have, renew their annual passes, purchase UOAP merchandise, upgrade passes, manage their accounts, or purchase discounted UOAP tickets. UOAP guests may also use the lounge to relax, charge their phones, and pick up any current complimentary passholder gifts.
