Perhaps one of the most overlooked and underappreciated, and dare we say, hidden gems of the Disney IP portfolio is The Muppets.
The Muppets have 10 feature films, five seasons of a variety show, an animated series, and some exclusive Disney+ features. And that doesn’t include the expanded Muppet family, like Sesame Street, Bear in the Big Blue House, and Dinosaurs.

The Muppets are an ensemble cast of puppet characters known for corny, sketch-style comedy. Created by Jim Henson in 1955, the Muppets have infiltrated American pop culture through television, film, and music. The Jim Henson Company sold the rights of the Muppets to the Walt Disney Company in 2004 under CEO Michael Eisner.
