Magic Kingdom
- Though it was reservation only for much of the day, we got to take a full tour of TRON’s merchandise shop, Tomorrowland Launch Depot, today.
- Today was the official grand opening of TRON Lightcycle Run, and the Virtual Queue morning distributions were booked in seconds.
- Lightning Lane access for TRON Lightcycle Run also sold out before Magic Kingdom opened on the attraction’s official opening day.
- After spending much of the day serving as a reservation-only location, the new shop outside of Tron Lightcycle Run is now open to all guests visiting Magic Kingdom.
EPCOT
- Crews are beginning to dismantle the Harmonious barges in World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT now that the show has ended and EPCOT Forever has returned.
New Merchandise
- A new collection of Haunted Mansion holiday decorations by Hallmark is coming soon, according to leaked images and information.
- New Disney Hallmark ornaments will also be available, including a Main Street Electrical Parade ornament.
- A new line of TRON Lightcycle Run opening day merchandise is now available to commemorate its official opening to guests.
- We’ve also compiled a full list, including prices, of all TRON Lightcycle Run Merchandise now available.
- We found new TRON Lightcycle Run-inspired merchandise options at the MaDe kiosks in Tomorrowland Launch Depot at Magic Kingdom.
- A new Disney Parks Starbucks collection is coming soon, and the first three items are already available on shopDisney.
- The new 3-in-1 LEGO Duplo Disney100 Magical Castle is now available at the Creations Shop at EPCOT.
- The first 2023 “Star Wars” May the 4th merchandise — including apparel, a MagicBand+, and a tumbler — is now available on shopDisney, and will be available soon at Disney Parks.
- A new Disney100 Loungefly Mini Backpack is the latest product to celebrate Disney’s centennial anniversary at the Magic Kingdom.
- Guests visiting Walt Disney World can now take “one jump ahead” with a new Abu Shoulder Plush in tow.
Other Walt Disney World News
- The Disney Genie+ price reached an all-time high at Walt Disney World today.
- Despite the record-high pricing, Genie+ sold out by 10:00 a.m. on the opening day of TRON Lightcycle Run.
Entertainment and Media
- We got the first look at new stills and behind-the-scenes images from the upcoming live-action “The Little Mermaid,” which swims into theaters on May 26, 2023.
Disney+
- We got a new teaser for “The Muppets Mayhem,” an original series set to arrive on Disney+ on May 10.
