The My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps were updated, bringing new features that make mobile ordering easier for hungry guests to navigate.

The update, available now, includes a new interface allowing guests to navigate by an “available now” filter, and an updated way to schedule future orders for later.

The filters in the mobile order interface include “available now,” “nearby,” “theme parks,” “resorts,” and individual parks and resorts.

The “available now” and “nearby” filters are also available via buttons on the main page of mobile order.

At the very top of the page, you can select “as soon as possible” (which is what is automatically selected) or “schedule for later.” With “as soon as possible,” you create your order and it will be prepared immediately. An approximate arrival time is listed. With “available now,” the arrival time will be “now.”

With “schedule for later,” you can select time slots throughout the day, sometimes including time slots that begin immediately.

The system is the same in My Disney Experience and the Disneyland app.

Drop-down menus of each theme park, Disney Springs / Downtown Disney District, and each resort hotel are on the page. They can be opened and closed so you can more easily search different locations without filtering them out.

Mobile order is available for most quick-service food and beverage locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. It is not available for table-service restaurants.

After ordering via the app, guests stop by the restaurant and indicate in the app that they have arrived. The app will then notify them when their order is ready, at which point the guest picks up their food at a designated mobile order counter.

My Disney Experience and Disneyland App

My Disney Experience is the Walt Disney World app, and functions similarly to the Disneyland app. Both allow guests to access their Disney accounts, preview and download PhotoPass photos, check wait times, and more.

Mobile merchandise checkout is also available via the apps for several stores throughout both resorts.

Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane selections are available through the apps.

Disney Genie is a free feature that launched in October 2021 at Walt Disney World. Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane are the paid program that replaced FastPass+.

When Genie+ first launched, the service was available at a flat rate of $15 per person, per day. Last year’s switch to date-based pricing saw a new high price of $22 — which Disney noted was the highest it would go in October, implying the even higher rates that have now come to pass.

Individual Lightning Lane prices have always been on a date-based basis, but the maximum was formerly $20. Since the update to the pricing scale for Genie+, rates for Individual Lightning Lane have been rising as well.
