New Disney Merch by Artist Joey Chou is Gorgeous

Every now and then, a brand new line of Disney merchandise hits the shelves that completely stops me in my tracks. Although I usually like most of the merch I see, it’s not often that I actually purchase any of it because the house only has so much room for which to display these things. Ahem.

During the last couple of weeks, I’ve been seeing pics of new merchandise from Artist Joey Chou on various social media channels as it became available for purchase at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Zoë’s quick Monday Merch article this morning featured some of his pieces, and I’m quite obsessed with the entire line, if I’m being completely honest.

First of all, Chou’s design style is so unique, and I love that so many Disney characters and theme park attractions, mostly from Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, are featured in his graphics. The vibrant colors in every one of the pieces that have been released so far are nothing shy of magnificent, and I’m here to tell you that the entire collection has just been released on shopDisney! Hold onto your wallets!

As a side note, did you know that colors have opposites? They totally do, and I learned more about them this weekend as I discussed decorating ideas with my family over the weekend. If you’re curious and want to learn more, there’s some great info about color theory here.

Anywhoo, let’s get back to these new pieces. The first one I want to show you is this new Dooney and Bourke pattern. The purple background on this bag really makes this design pop, in my opinion. I love how the artist used lighter and darker shades too.

Disney Parks Dooney & Bourke Satchel Bag by Joey Chou – $298

How cute is this set of plates? Is it wrong (or crazy even?) that I want three sets of these so I’d have 12 total for get-togethers at my house?

Of course, if we have twelve plates, we’ll need twelve cups to go along with them. It only makes sense.

This coffee mug had me swooning from the moment I laid eyes on it. Friends, if you’d seen my kitchen, you’d know that the last thing I need more of is coffee mugs. I honestly don’t care, though, because this one is a must-have for me and it’s already in my virtual shopping cart.

I’m in the same position with these adorable bowls. I guess you could say that I’m a real sucker for housewares.

As much as I love the purple background on the Dooney and Bourke bags, the turquoise (or aqua) in the background of this Loungfly makes all of the vibrant colors pop too and I love it!

Disney Parks Loungefly Mini Backpack by Joey Chou – $88

Sometimes enough can be enough with the same pattern, but I’m afraid that’s not the case with me and this one. Look at these sequined Minnie Mouse Ears! These are definitely a must-have for me too and I love that Tinker Bell is the featured character on the bow as if she was sprinkling pixie dust on your head when you’re wearing them. I know, some of you are probably rolling your eyes at this point, but that’s okay.

Disneyland or Walt Disney World Women’s Spirit Jersey by Joey Chou – $79.99 | Disney Parks Ear Headband by Joey Chou – $34.99 | Disney Parks Woven Shirt for Men by Joey Chou – $59.99

PJ pants for the win and I love the choice of the purple background on these too!

Disney Parks Sleep Pants for Adults by Joey Chou – $39.99

Disney Parks T-Shirt for Kids by Joey Chou – $24.99 | Disney Parks Pullover Sweatshirt for Kids by Joey Chou – $29.99

Although I haven’t shown you every piece in the entire collection, we’ve covered the majority of them. You can view them all by following the link above. And please let me know which piece(s) you can’t live without so I know I’m not alone over here!
