Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios!
And, we’ve got plenty of merchandise, food, entertainment, and construction updates, so let’s dive right on in!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Pandora
Although we’ve loved getting on Flight of Passage back-to-back with some of the shorter wait times in the parks, the new Flight of Passage Kids’ Shirt is quite the statement with fringe…
…and glow in the dark features for $24.99! We bet your little one would look AWESOME in the bioluminescent forest wearing this tee!
Discovery Trading Co.
Although Bing Bong is Riley’s imaginary friend, you can look just as sweet as our favorite candy-yielding pal wearing the Bing Bong Button Down!
Bing Bong looks just as happy as we are to be wearing this shirt for $59.99 (just look at his l’il hat).
Although we’re ready for all the Pumpkin Spice coffee creamers and flavors coming to our local grocery stores, we think you can make your morning a bit wild with the Safari Animal Kingdom Mug for $14.99! The Fab Five is setting off on an adventure (almost like Indiana Jones) through the parks…
…buuut we bet they’re probably going to take a coffee break along the way too! ;D
We have a slight obsession with Baby Yoda (and we’re not afraid to admit it)! Although we’re big fans of the Funko POP! figurines, we’re pretty sure we need ALL of the Baby Yoda Bounty Collection to line our shelves!
If you thought Baby Yoda was cute awake, he looks like a little bundle of joy all snuggled up to go to sleep…
…but he also looks adorably hilarious at snack time eating his favorite treat (frogs for daysss)!
Although you might say Baby Yoda looks a bit like his older counterpart when he’s using the Force…
…he could just be reaching for the little metal bulb in the Mandalorian’s spaceship during one of their adventures!
Each Baby Yoda figurine is $9.99!
(We can’t resist those big eyes!!)
Check out the FULL collection of Baby Yoda figurines you can find in Disney World here!
Island Mercantile
Since Animal Kingdom is a place to step into the jungle, we weren’t surprised to see the new-to-us Safari Collection over at Island Mercantile! Adults can chill out at their favorite spots around the park wearing the Safari Mickey Tank…
…which comes with snakeskin, zebra, cheetah print, and more designs on the Mickey head for $29.99!
And, your little one can match with you as you pose in Pandora or go on an expedition to Everest in the Kids’ Safari Dress for $34.99…
…and the Kids’ Wild Tee with fashionable holes on the shoulders for $29.99, so they can look fabulous during their trek across Animal Kingdom!
Plus, the Kids’ Leopard Print Shorts can add a pop of fun to any outfit during your kiddos’ trip to Disney World…
…especially since the leopard print panels on the side are simply adorable for $24.99.
Animal Kingdom Food Update
Drink and Food Carts
Although there’s plenty of Halloween merchandise, decorations, and MORE coming to Disney World, we were surprised to find a random Halloween item at the food and drink carts around Animal Kingdom!
While we’ve seen the Pumpkin Tire Straw in the park during past Halloween events, it has officially made its way back to Animal Kingdom for the Fall!
We spotted the Pumpkin Tire Straw at Bahindi Bahindi and Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks.
And get this, Animal Kingdom will be getting lots more fall goodies very soon.
Find out all the details of what Fall experiences will be coming to Disney World this year!
Creature Comforts
Although we saw Pumpkin Spice pop up for the first time of the season at the Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Creature Comforts has also been decked out in Fall snacks and drinks! You can sip on the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino, Pumpkin Spice Latte (hot or iced), and Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew…
…there are also plenty of snacks to pick up at the bakery! On top of the Pumpkin Scone and Fox Vanilla Cake Pop…
…the fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is back too (and we can’t get enough of these sweet treats)!
We’re so happy pumpkin season has returned!
Check out all the sweet pumpkin goodies that you can get this Fall in Disney World!
Yak and Yeti
While you’re stopping by for lunch or dinner, you can head over to Yak and Yeti for the off the menu specials inside the restaurant!
We’re talkin’ Bang Bang Calamari, Lobster Tail Garlic Noodles with Shrimp & Scallops, and Hibachi Steak and Shrimp that will make a BOMB feast.
Read MORE about these off the menu eats here!
Animal Kingdom Construction Update
Creature Comforts
After we had picked up a bunch of pumpkin treats from Creature Comforts, we noticed that there was some sort of construction next door. While the area was blocked off to guests, we will have to keep checking back to see what’s cookin’ over in the area!
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Since we’ve been back on the Kilimanjaro Safaris to greet all the animals again, we noticed a building being constructed at the end of the ride! While we aren’t sure yet what the little hut will be…
…the building has progressed forward with a roof, poles, a porch area, and more! We’ll keep checking back on the construction to see what Kilimanjaro Safaris has in store for the animals and the guests!
Now, let’s head on over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what’s happening over there!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Update
First Order Cargo
We’ve been exploring all the reopened stores, attractions, and restaurants in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge since Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened back up again in July. But, we saw the First Order Cargo location open for the first time this week!
The store has distancing measures in place, including markings to wait behind and directional arrows to keep up with the flow of traffic.
A hand-sanitizer station is available for guests to use before they check out their favorite First Order merchandise…
…which includes some epic accessories…
…apparel like tees and jackets…
…and even your very own Stormtrooper Helmet!
Hollywood Studios Entertainment Update
Rise of the Resistance
During our latest trip through the Star Destroyer to aid the Resistance, we encountered something different from our past rides on Rise of the Resistance! While there is a whole room of Stormtroopers after guests get captured, there were LIVE Stormtroopers guarding our transport vehicles this time around!
While we made sure to let them know we weren’t the droids we were looking for, we kind of hope to see them again as we return back to the attraction.
We will keep you posted if we do!
Watch the LIVE Stormtroopers in action in our video here!
Tower of Terror
If you’re hopping on Tower of Terror, it’s practically a rite of passage to have a photo of your party looking terrified (or a VERY staged pose)! Either way, we’ve definitely got a collection of ride photos back home.
But, we noticed that Tower of Terror wasn’t showing ride photos after the ride during our last visit. However, we did receive the photo in our My Disney Experience PhotoPass after the fact, so be sure to check your app to download your pictures!
Well, that’s it for this What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! We’ll catch you next time for more merchandise, food, entertainment, and construction updates!
