We’re BEGGING for This ‘Coco’ Restaurant To Come to Disney World

There are a LOT of changes happening at Disney Parks ALL over the world.

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Paris

In Disney World, EPCOT is still in the middle of a massive transformation. Disneyland just got a new ride, an updated land, and will soon get a Tiana-themed restaurant. Both U.S. parks are getting a new Tiana-based ride. Disneyland Paris, though, might just be getting the coolest thing of all — a restaurant themed around Coco.

We often find ourselves a little jealous of some of the things going on with the international Disney parks, and this definitely counts as one of those things. The Mexican-themed restaurant in Frontierland, Fuente Del Oro, in Disneyland Paris will be reimagined into Casa de Coco — Restaurante de Familia. The new restaurant will feature “Miguel’s passion for music and love for his family.”

This would be SO fun to have in the Mexico pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase! (Please, Disney?) For now, though, we’ll just have to dream of visiting Paris to go to this upcoming restaurant.

But that’s not the only restaurant at Disneyland Paris that’s getting an update. Pizzeria Bella Notte (yes, it’s inspired by The Lady and the Tramp) will be getting a new room inspired by the Pixar movie Luca

Walt Disney Studios Park at the resort is also getting an update. Toon Plaza will be reimagined into “an immersive experience paying tribute to Pixar films.” The space will also feature “a new raised backdrop featuring Ember and Wade from the upcoming original feature film, Disney and Pixar’s Elemental.”

A new show is also coming to Walt Disney Studios Park. The new show is called “Together: a Pixar Musical Adventure” (are you sensing a theme here? It’s all Pixar!). The 30-minute show will be at Studio Theater and will include both English and French dialogue in a new original story. It will feature “spectacular scenic effects, innovative choreography, and a live eight-person orchestra.” How fun! There will be five scenes total dedicated to some of Pixar’s most iconic movies.

But there are even MORE changes coming to Disneyland Paris. Disney announced that the Disneyland Hotel is getting a “regal transformation” and will be themed to “royal Disney stories and characters,” including The Princess and the FrogMoana, and Raya and the Last Dragon.

This refurbishment will be happening in 2024 and will affect both the lobby and the rooms.

Currently, the Disneyland Paris version of “it’s a small world” is closed for refurbishment. However, the ride is scheduled to reopen on May 5th. Another ride, Les Mystères du Nautilus, will also reopen this summer after getting a complete refurbishment.

Disney’s 100th anniversary will also be celebrated in Disneyland Paris with a special celebration on October 16th, 2023, that will include “one-of-a-kind festivities, exclusive character encounters, and unique Disney experiences.”
