When it comes to keeping up with all the new Disney movies coming out, it’s very nearly impossible.

We’ve got the live-action The Little Mermaid to start with, but we’ve also got a new Pixar film on the way, Elemental. PLUS a new live-action re-telling of Peter Pan is coming soon to Disney+ — we’ve recently seen a NEW trailer, but now Disney has offered up an INSIDE LOOK at the film.
Peter Pan and Wendy is a retelling of Peter Pan about Wendy, a girl worried about leaving her childhood home, meeting Peter Pan, a boy who can fly and refuses to grow up. Peter shows Wendy the amazing world of Neverland, where she meets the Lost Boys and an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook.

Peter Pan stars Ever Anderson as Wendy, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Jude Law as Captain Hook, and Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell. Disney just released a new video where we get to see the cast, as well as director David Lowery, talk about the film and their experience with it.
Lowery speaks about how he wanted to give a new look at the story that’s already so familiar to many people. He also refers to Law’s Hook as “deliciously evil.” Law mentions that this version of the story will look into how the feud between Captain Hook and Peter Pan started. Ooh, backstory!

According to Shahidi, this film will bring the original magic of the story to life, but she also mentioned that it shows that “there’s more stories to tell.”
