EPCOT‘s China pavilion is a peaceful and beautiful place. The colors here are vibrant, and the gardens are a nice escape from the crowds in the park. Not only does it offer great dining and shopping experiences the pavilion also has great photo spots. I want to touch on my favorite areas to take pictures when I visit this country in World Showcase.
I also want to preface this with the fact that all of these photos are taken on my phone using a self-timer while using my water bottle to keep my phone standing. If you are traveling with someone or a group, then you can probably get better pictures since you’ll have a personal photographer.
Photo Spots
When you enter the China pavilion on the right-hand side, there’s a bridge and walking path. This area is great for photos. If you are walking out of the temple, this area will be on your left. I placed my water bottle on the red railing and had my phone against it.
Unfortunately, the day I did this, it was very cloudy and gloomy, so the pictures in this section didn’t come out the way I wanted. I really wanted the green from the foliage to pop, but the weather here is so unpredictable, which affects the lighting. Overall, the photos still came out okay.
Pro Tip: This is a great spot for cute couple photos.
The next area is near the merchandise location, which is on the left side of the pavilion. There are several spots here that I like, but this first one is closer to the start of the store. The bench that is pictured is where I placed my water bottle and phone. I angled it to show the rest of the alleyway so I could get the sky and the building in the photo.
This next spot is near the exit of the store and the attraction, Reflections of China. I absolutely love this spot. It is probably my favorite one because no one can get in the background, and the red really stands out. For this one, you’ll have to become friends with the trash can because this is where your phone will go if you are alone.
This next one is one that will require you to have someone with you. Because I was alone, I had to do a sitting pose. This is a wall on the outside of the temple, and it’s absolutely beautiful. The detailing here is breathtaking, and the colors are very vibrant. I had to set up my water bottle and phone on the floor and then position myself closer to the wall. The photo would’ve looked ten times better if I had someone with me, but it’s okay. I still like the way it came out.
Pro Tip: This is a great spot for a family photo.
I hope this was somewhat helpful whether you are looking for fun places to take pictures at EPCOT with your travel party or trying to figure out how to take decent pictures as a solo traveler. I know when I started going to Disney alone, I felt so lost on where I could take pictures and how to make them look good. For a while, I relied on PhotoPass when it was included in my Annual Pass. I know not everyone uses that service while on their Disney vacation, plus those photographers are rarely ever in cool spots like these.
