Guests aboard the Disney Wish were set to leave Nassau yesterday, but remained there overnight due to technical issues with the ship followed by unfavorable weather conditions.
Disney Wish Remains in Nassau Overnight
According to the DCL Blog on Twitter, guests aboard the Disney Wish have just finally departed Nassau as of 11 a.m. on April 30.
The ship was supposed to set sail last night from Nassau to Castaway Cay. Due to technical issues, the ship had to stay at the port overnight. Then, the departure was delayed further due to weather conditions this morning. The itinerary has been modified to reflect the changes.
Guests aboard received a letter letting them know about the issue.
Here is a copy of the letter:
Guests aboard received a $100 onboard credit as well as a 20% discount on a future three-, four-, or seven-night Disney cruise vacation for the inconvenience.
Guests were first sent a notice which informed them that not only would the departure from Nassau be delayed, but the fireworks show was also canceled for that evening.
According to The DCL Blog’s Twitter page, as of 11:00 a.m this morning, the ship has finally set sail and is making its way back to Port Canaveral.
