Finally, the moment we’ve been waiting for is here. Disney is getting rid of Theme Park Reservations in January 2024, but unfortunately, it’s not for everyone. On January 9th, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. This change will not impact Annual Passholders, Cast Members, and open-ended tickets, but they will experience something new called good-to-go days.

For non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required. Disney notes that this is so they can continue to monitor and manage park attendance to ensure they deliver a great experience to guests. Annual Passholders and Cast Members will have something called “good-to-go days,” which will vary, but there will be days they can enter without reservations. Once this is introduced in January 2024, they will continue to roll out good-to-go days on an ongoing basis.
