Walt Disney Imagineering Has Extended the Deadline for Work on the Cirque du Soleil Building!

We’re looking forward to the NEW Cirque du Soleil show that’s coming to Disney World!

Cirque du Soleil

Drawn to Life was supposed to premiere at the Disney Springs Cirque du Soleil location earlier this year. Of course, due to the closure of the parks and the construction halts, the opening of the show has been delayed (multiple times), and now, a new permit shows that some work on the Cirque building has had to be extended as well.

The permit is an extension of one that was filed back in January for the “Cirque du Soleil Rehab.” The original expiration date was for August 31st, but now the expiration date is October 31st. This gives Imagineering teams another two months to wrap up work on the building.

With the show officially delayed to 2021, this delay in work does fit with the new schedule. The permit shares few details on what is actually taking place on the building. But, we’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for any visible work on the outside of the building.
