Soon, Disney+ and Hulu subscribers will have one less app to manage.
Disney has just reported its quarterly earnings, and during a call with investors, CEO Bob Iger announced a change that many streaming viewers have been asking for.
Iger said that U.S. subscribers to Disney+ and Hulu will be able to access the content for both streaming services within the Disney+ app.
Disney has sold the two services in a discounted bundle previously, but this will represent a change to the way you use the services. Iger said the “one-app experience” should be available by the end of 2023.
Iger also answered questions during the earnings call about spending on Disney+ content, potential ad revenue, and how price increases for the Disney+ service have affected subscriber numbers.
