Should Walt Disney World Re-Theme Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster?

Long-running rock and roll band, Aerosmith, has announced their farewell tour, calling it quits after more than 50 years together. “It’s not goodbye; it’s PEACE OUT!” say the band, famously led by flamboyant frontman Steven Tyler. As I read an article about the final tour dates for the band, it occurred to me that the corresponding popular Disney might also be ready for the next chapter.

Personally, I’ve always thought the theming of the Hollywood Studios attraction, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, was a little out of place. It seemed like something that was better suited elsewhere when surrounded by Disney IP. While the rollercoaster has been closed for extended refurbishment, rumors have been swirling that a theme might be on the cards. Even though we don’t have any further information on when or what version of the ride will return (other than a remarkably vague ‘this summer’), I thought we might have a little bit of fun with this to see where Disney fans believe the theming of this attraction should go.

I want to hear all of your ideas, though first, I need to share with you my completely unfounded prediction for this music-themed ride and where it could go. Are you ready? Muppets Mayhem. Think about it. Disney has thrown a lot of money into the resurgence of The Muppets, and the upcoming release of the Disney+ series provides the perfect segway for the characters to set a new music scene for the attraction.

Can anyone else see the potential connection between the series release and the attraction reopening? With no official word, we will need to wait and see, though in the meantime, let me know what you think. If you could re-theme the Rock’ n’ Roller Coaster attraction, what would you create?
