One of the best things to come out of Animal Kingdom’s 25th Birthday is this new Moana meet-and-greet that was introduced. Moana has been a fan-favorite character since her movie came out in 2016, so it’s incredible that she now has an area to interact with guests. She did meet briefly at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney Presents after the movie was released, but this has been a long time coming.

Moana can be found on Discovery Island in Character Landing, right before DinoLand U.S.A.‘s entrance, where Pocahontas used to meet. Her meet-and-greet times vary, so be sure to check out the My Disney Experience app for any updates. Let’s take a photo tour of the area, shall we?

Being able to meet Moana was such a fantastic experience. I won’t get into all the emotional details, but this really warmed my heart. I loved the location’s atmosphere and that they play the movie’s soundtrack on a loop. Having more meet-and-greets like this scattered around that park would be amazing.
