We Don’t Trust Our Own Eyes Thanks to Disney World’s New Snack

We’ve tried hundreds, probably THOUSANDS, of snacks in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

From cupcakes to Dole Whip floats to savory treats, we’ve had years of practice tasting some of the most delicious (AND some of the least delicious! 😂) things that Disney World has to offer. We’ve got our preferences for the best treats around property, but recently, we stopped by a resort to try out one that gets some serious points for style.

For the summer season, Disney World decided to introduce several limited-time snacks, and we made it our mission to try out several of them. But perhaps the most creative of all of them was the Sweet Summertime Favorites at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort!

Sweet Summertime Favorites Cookies

Nope, your eyes aren’t tricking you — this treat is ENTIRELY made of dessert! Impressive, right?! (It had half of our team fooled!) The “hot dog” is an eclair with a chocolate filling and icing on top, while the “fries” are sugar cookies. The “ketchup” is made from a raspberry jam that you can dip your treats in. You can get the whole thing for $6.79 at End Zone Food Court.

That is an impressive feat!

This is one of the most impressive-looking snacks we’ve ever had, but what about the taste? Well, sadly not all parts of this treat were home runs. The hot dog eclair was definitely on the tough and chewy side — the bun reminded us of shortbread. It was hard to bite without the chocolate mousse-like filling spilling everywhere. The chocolate though, was rich and creamy and quite delicious. (Although it melted in the sun!)

However, the French fry sugar cookies were DA BOMB. These things were soft and just sweet enough with little sugar crystals to look like salt. They practically melt in your mouth and have more of a cookie dough consistently that we loved!

Fries were a WINNER

The jam was probably our least favorite part of the dessert. It was really thick and practically solidified, so it was difficult to dip the cookies in it without them breaking. The raspberry flavor was VERY tart, and it blended fairly well with the chocolate in the eclair, but again, that consistency made it hard to scoop and eat at all.

All in all, we might get this treat again, simply for the looks! I mean, we can’t deny that it’s a seriously cool bit of culinary art! And the flavors were pretty good, even if the textures were a smidge bothersome on the jam and the bun.

Either way, this one is very worthy of your food pictures, and it might be a good enough reason to tempt you to visit All-Star Sports!
