Can you believe that Father’s Day is right around the corner?

Even though summer weekends are already pretty busy in the Disney parks, a holiday weekend like Father’s Day may bring in some extra people, so prepare yourself. We headed over to Jolly Holiday in Disneyland to try their new Father’s Day snack, and all we have to say is, don’t judge it by its looks!

You can grab the Father’s Day Donut for $6.99 right now at Jolly Holiday Bakery. This donut is topped with maple, chocolate, peanut butter icing, candied bacon, house-fried potato chips, pretzels, and Snickers pieces. Whew! This thing is LOADED! We’re not entirely sure we understand the Father’s Day connection — maybe the baker’s father was an avid maple, Snickers, chocolate, peanut butter, bacon, chip, and pretzel guy. Who knows! 

We know it sounds like a LOT, but we didn’t let our nerves get to us, and we were pleasantly surprised! All of the flavors and toppings paired so well! The chips and pretzels added a salty crunch, and the candied bacon and maple icing added a savory syrupy flavor. The chocolate and peanut butter icing and Snickers balanced the salty flavors with a hit of sweetness. The donut itself wasn’t super fresh, though, so that knocked it down a point for us. 

If you love sweet and salty snacks or chocolate and peanut butter combos, this is totally the snack for you. But if you’re looking for your snacks to be a little less, well, busy, we say stay away from this sweet treat.
