The new food stand in Universal Studios Florida has a collection of snacks including a breakfast empanada and an everything pretzel.
The stand is located near the Universal Studios Florida entrance and Minion Land.
Breakfast Empanada – $7.99
Filled with ham, egg, and cheese
If you’re looking to hit the parks early and need a great grab-and-go breakfast option, the stand offers a breakfast empanada until 10:30 a.m.
The breakfast empanada is filled with ham, egg, and cheese. It’s hard to compete with the delicious breakfast offerings of its neighbor, Today Café, but the convenience of a breakfast you can eat on the run just can’t be beat. This little breakfast offering is portable and easy to eat without making a mess. This would be a good way to fuel up before competing for your spot in the Vicious 6 at Universal Orlando’s upcoming Villain-Con Minion Blast attraction.
The outside layer is simple and flaky, but the inside is what really impressed us. The ham, egg, and cheese pack a lot of flavor into this pastry pocket. The ham stands out without overpowering the eggs and cheese. We prefer this over a Starbucks breakfast sandwich any day. It’s the perfect way to start a morning at Universal Studios Florida.
New food stands have been popping up around the park with a variety of new items and we’re excited to see more breakfast options around the park. For a more substantial breakfast, be sure to check out the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley for their breakfast platters.
Everything Pretzel – $7.49
Served with spicy curry vegan aioli
This aioli is the same delicious sauce that was served with the Brussels Frites at the Belgium Mardi Gras booth. We’re guilty of buying the fries just to dip soft pretzels in the sauce, so this new treat is a delight.
This is your typical theme park pretzel, just made fancy with everything seasoning. The seasoning is delicious and elevates the pretzel from basic to flavorful.
The sauce is where the magic is, though. It tastes like curry with a lot of bright, vibrant seasoning.
Just make sure to check your teeth after eating this treat — we had seeds stuck in ours.
Coconut Snowball – $4.99
The stand’s “snowballs” are essentially the piraguas from the Puerto Rico Mardi Gras Booth. The coconut is too subtle in this, so you’re just drinking shaved ice.
Raspberry Snowball – $4.99
This one was similarly flavorless.
Tamarind Snowball – $4.99
If you want to get a piragua, try the tamarind. It has a strong and interesting flavor profile.
