We just wrapped up another day at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World!
We’re here to give you the lowdown on everything new we spotted in the theme park. Get ready for merch and construction updates!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
New Overhead Announcement
An overhead announcement reminding guests about face mask protocols is played periodically throughout Disney World. The most recent message includes the policy that guests can only remove masks unless they are in a relaxation zone or when eating and drinking while stationary. We heard a brand new message which stated that guests cannot remove their masks while taking photos.
So far, we’ve only heard the new message being played at the Magic Kingdom.

Liberty Square
The Liberty Square Riverboat area seems to be getting a little TLC. We saw walls and a covering installed outside the front of the entrance. We’ll keep visiting this area to see if anything new develops here!
Purple Wall Construction
The beloved Purple Wall is the perfect background for Instagram pics. Lately, shadows have been cast on the walls by large construction coverings. Some of the scaffolding has been taken down this week and you can see the wall again! Finally, some good lighting for our Insta pics.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Emporium
The newest Wishables are inspired by the Pixar film, Coco. They were so adorable that most of the stock was snatched up on shopDisney.
Later that day, we found them at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Resort!
