The Disney App Reached a Major Milestone Today!

Disney Cast Members are the HEART and soul of the company.

Not only do they go out of their way to make sure we’re taken care of when something doesn’t go right in the parks or when we have questions about things, but they’re also there to make sure we stay safe on rides (and during other situations), and we see them create EXTRA magic in the parks all the time. It seems like we all agree on this, too, because the Cast Compliments feature in the Disney mobile apps has just reached a BIG milestone.

The Cast Compliment feature on the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps has made giving a Cast Member a compliment easier than ever. Well, a LOT of people have used that feature because Disney just announced that Cast Members have received a total of one MILLION Cast Compliments through the apps!

To celebrate, those Cast Members who received the highest number of compliments were recognized for their efforts. Remington Davis, a security host at Disneyland Resort, was just one of MANY Cast Members who got special recognition. Davis said, “Being recognized for doing a great job gives me a heartwarming feeling. When you enjoy what you do, it’s not work, and it makes me happy to know that I am bringing joy to someone’s day. I like to greet guests with a smile, give them a high-five and welcome them to the resort.”

Want to know how to use the Cast Compliment feature? On the My Disney Experience app, you’ll want to click on the three lines at the bottom right of the home screen of the app and scroll down to “Cast Compliment.” (It’s close to the bottom of the menu.) Then you just select why you’re complimenting the Cast Member, their location, their name and hometown (if you know it), and the date of the interaction.

The process is exactly the same on the Disneyland app — you’ll find “Cast Compliment” after clicking on the three bars on the bottom right of the app and scrolling down to “Cast Compliment.”

So keep that in mind if you ever want to commend a Cast Member for a job well done or for making your trip a little extra magical. Those compliments go a long way and we know those Cast Members love getting them!
