Extra water features have been turned on for the “Drenched in Toontown” summer event at Tokyo Disneyland, which began on July 4 and will last through September 6.
Drenched in Toontown
On the ground throughout Toontown, images depicting bursting pipes indicate areas where guests can get wet to beat the brutal summer heat.
Much of the “Drenched in Toontown” signage features Goofy, as we noted when new features were installed.
Outside the Jolly Trolley’s garage, these cleaning machines spray cooling mist on guests.
Because of Tokyo’s hot and humid summers, Tokyo Disney Resort often has summer events, entertainment, and overlays featuring plenty of water.
There are additional water spouts on the Fireworks Factory and Toontown Fire Station, too. Water sprinkles down from the roof of the Fireworks Factory.
At the Fire Station, a hose in the tower sprays guests down below.
Tokyo Disneyland guests can also enjoy “Baymax’s Mission Cooldown” this summer. The short two-float cavalcade rolls down the parade route three times daily. In the summertime splash event, guests in certain areas of the park can expect to be soaked to the bone by water sprayed from the float, as Baymax works to keep everyone cool and happy. Splash Mountain Get Wet MAX has also returned from July 4 to September 6, and guests can get a special on-ride photo featuring Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear.
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, a special harbor greeting featuring Duffy & Friends will circle Mediterranean Harbor twice daily, and a new line of Duffy merchandise will be released. As well, guests can enjoy the return of the wet course on Aquatopia for the first time since 2019.
