Disney Adds Labels to Themed Hand Dryers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios Following Guest Confusion

While on a recent trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed that the hand dryers found in the restrooms at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now have new labels that designate exactly what they are.

The Dyson hand dryers, which previously looked weathered so they could best fit in-world with Star Wars, now have decals that read “Hand Dryer” and point to the opening where guests are to hold their hands up to activate the dryer.

It is unknown the exact reason as to why these decals have been added, though our best guess is that guests might have assumed the dryers were just part of the theming, and not actually functional hand dryers. Now with the new labels, the true function of the dryers is plain to see, and hopefully this will avoid further confusion from guests.

How do you feel about this real-world context added to the immersive Star Wars land? Do you think it disrupts the theming? Or is it necessary to aid guests visiting? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
