Disney’s Loaded Pretzel Cost Me $15, but I Still Can’t Resist

What kind of snack does a superhero stop for during a day at Disney California Adventure?

Avengers Campus

With all of the fuss over the upcoming San Fransokyo Square and Tiana’s Palace set to open soon, there hasn’t been much news over by Avengers Campus… or so we thought! On a recent trip out to save the world with our favorite superheroes, we stopped taking a bite out of crime long enough to take a bite out of a new snack!

It’s a well-known fact that walking around Disney parks all day can certainly help you drum up an appetite. Sometimes choosing what to eat requires you to find a good balance between something that will fill you up but not keep you feeling weighed down and sluggish through the rest of your park day. We started getting a bit hungry walking around Disney California Adventure and decided to head over to Avengers Campus to see what we could round up for a quick bite.

Our search led us to Pym’s Test Kitchen, where we noticed a snack we’d been hoping to try, so naturally, that’s what caught our attention! Admittedly though, it was a busy time to come for food, so it seems we weren’t the only ones thinking it was time to eat. Look at that line!

Once we were inside and made it through the line, we finally acquired our prize! We picked up the Atomic Pretzel: Carne Asada Pretzel and decided to tell you all about it! This one cost us $15.49. It consists of a pretzel topped with marinated tri-tip, avocado salsa, roasted onions, and Oaxaca cheese.

This almost looks too good to bite into, but research, right? The whole pretzel had a pretty good spice throughout. The tri-tip was tender with a bit of sweet flavor to it. The avocado salsa had a refreshing avocado flavor that cooled down the spice and paired well with the sweet tri-tip. The Oaxaca cheese added hints of savory flavor to the pretzel, and it went well with all the other ingredients.

Looks yummy!

While there was spice to the pretzel and toppings, it wasn’t overpowering; we felt it had just enough to give a kick to the flavor. If you’re not big on “spicy” flavors or just want a simple snack, though, this is one you might wanna skip. If you’re totally down for interesting pretzels, Mexican food, and spices, this is certainly one we recommend you give a try!

All in all, it was a filling snack that didn’t leave us with too much uncertainty, and we felt like we knew what we were getting with the ingredients from the menu listing. If you find yourself looking for something quick to snack on and continue your park day, this might make a great option for you.
