If you’re like us, then the countdown to the holidays is officially underway.
Christmas in Magic Kingdom
Disney has released a lot of details pertaining to the upcoming winter holiday season, and now, we can hardly wait for all the celebrations to. come. We’ve gotten sneak peeks of holiday merchandise, glimpses into this year’s holiday parties at Disney World, and we’ve even gotten some details regarding an all new runDisney virtual race series: 12Ks of Christmas! If your idea of holiday fun typically includes lacing up your running shoes and getting in some merry miles before those big holiday dinners, then this post is for you.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the upcoming debut of runDisney’s 12ks of Christmas races, they are a series of three 4K runs (to equal 12Ks total) that can be done from ANYWHERE this Christmas season. You’ll even receive race memorabilia, including a participant sweatshirt, a hot cocoa kit that includes a CORKCICLE mug, and themed medals to commemorate your success. Disney just shared the race themes, and we have a feeling that this will be the selling point for many of you!
The first race is all about our main dudes! Yep, the first 4k stars Mickey, Donald, and Goofy! Disney shared a design that likely features elements of what will be shown on the shirts and medals. Don’t they all look so jolly?

The second 4K race features our lovely ladies Minnie and Daisy! We love the colors of this theme and that Minnie and Daisy are featured in ice skates.

Last but not least, the concluding 4k race features our boy Pluto! Honestly, a medal featuring Pluto guiding Santa’s sleigh is all we really want for Christmas.
