Besides the wait times, park hours, and park maps, Mobile Order is one of the most useful features of the My Disney Experience app!

Using the system in Disney World will often help you get your meals faster than if you waited in line, and it makes it easier to order when you can see the whole menu right there on your phone. A while back, Disney updated the Mobile Order system in the app to make it a bit easier to use, and when they did, they made a change that you probably didn’t know about!
To access Mobile Order in the app, you’ll need to hit the ‘+’ sign at the bottom of the screen. Once you click on “Order Food” you’ll be taken to a page with a list of restaurants. From there, you can decide where you’d like to eat.
However, if you’re having trouble deciding, let Disney’s new feature help you out! The new version of Mobile Order comes with Photo Galleries where you can look at pictures of the restaurant and the food.

You’ll simply click on the blue ring surrounding the picture next to the restaurant’s name. From there, photos will pop up on your screen, much like an Instagram story. We tried it out with Columbia Harbour House.

We were shown two pictures of the interior of the restaurant, including the ordering and seating areas.

After that, there were two pictures of some of the entrees on the menu. For Columbia Harbour House in particular, it was the Fried Shrimp…

…and the Grilled Salmon. This gives you a better idea of what to expect when you order. Keep in mind that the Mobile Order menu also shows these pictures, although with the Photo Galleries, you can see them in a larger view.

As we mentioned above, this feature has been available since the update to Mobile Order went live a few months ago. However, it seems that not many people have noticed it yet, so Disney has been issuing a reminder in the app. Make sure to check it out before your next restaurant visit!
