One of our favorite things about the Disney Parks is the amount of thought and detail that goes into the park theming and decor.
Partners Statue
Throughout each of the Disney Parks, there are small tributes to Walt Disney himself — and, of course, the Mouse that started it all. Statues of Walt and Mickey can be found at a few of the Disney Parks, like the “Partners” Statue that can be found in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Now, Disney has shared a first look at an all-new statue that’s coming soon to a Disney Park.
The “Dream Makers” Statue will arrive at Hong Kong Disneyland in October 2023, and it will feature none other than Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse.
Just in time to celebrate 100 years of Disney, Imagineers have been hard at work designing something very special! Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse Statue, “Dream Makers,” coming to Hong Kong Disneyland this October.

This is a wonderful time to introduce the new statue, as the Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary, while Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating its 18th anniversary. On the bench, the date reads October 16th, so that gives us a pretty good idea of when this statue will officially be on display.

The story behind the statue placement is the memory of Walt taking his daughters to the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round. So, the Cinderella Carousel in Hong Kong Disneyland seemed like the perfect spot for Walt and Mickey to sit.

The name of the statue came from the idea that together, Walt and Mickey brought dreams to life, and encapsulated the ideas of innovation, creativity, and imagination.

Den Den Tse, Hong Kong Disneyland Imagineering Creative Producer said, “We hope to uphold Walt’s innovative spirit so that we are not just dreaming, but dream making.”

Wow! We can’t wait to see what this statue looks like upon completion. We think that the meaning behind this statue is wonderful, and we know that the statue will stand as a symbol of Disney’s lifelong dream for lifetimes to come.
