During Wednesday’s board meeting, Central Florida Tourism Oversight District administrator Glen Gilzean noted that the District has spent nearly $2 million in legal fees in its ongoing battle with Disney Parks and Resorts.
Gilzean stated that the District has allocated another $4.5 million toward the lawsuit for 2024, which includes litigation and a financial advisor among other items.
This announcement was brought to light after numerous firefighters showed up to the meeting in force to express their displeasure about the removal of the Disney pass generational benefit.
