Recently, we created a list of 7 things you’ll REGRET adding to your Disney World park bag. Today, we’re REVERSING that list! We’ve found 8 things you won’t want to leave your hotel room without.

Here at DFB, we love going to the parks. From all our trips, we’ve learned what the “must haves in our bags” are for our day in any of the parks. Here are our top 8 items we like to have with us and recommend you bring too!

Small Portable Charger

We all know that our phones can lose their charge quickly, especially when we are always on Genie+ making reservations and Lightning Lane selections.

While Disney does have some charging stations located around the parks (not many though!), we know it’s not always convenient to be at them. Plus, who wants to stand around at a charging station when you could be riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, right?

Having a small portable charger like this one is great because it can fit easily in your bag and helps you stay on all the rides (which let’s be honest, is what we would all rather be doing!).

 Reusable Water Bottle

On those hot Florida days, we all have to be sure we’re drinking plenty of water! Disney does offer free water, which is great, but having our own reusable water bottle like this one seems to make getting our water that much easier.

We love this collapsible water bottle from Amazon! It has a twist-on lid so it won’t spill in your bag, it collapses when empty to take up less space, and it’s lightweight so it won’t weigh you down.

Cooling Towels

Speaking of hot, humid days in the parks in Florida, you cannot go wrong with having a cooling towel in your bag. These microfiber towels help keep you cool while you’re out all day in the sun.

Just soak one of these in some nice, cold water, throw it around your neck, and you feel the relief almost immediately! These are also available in multiple colors. Don’t forget to drink your water, too!

Rain Poncho

Can you tell we like to be prepared for all of Florida’s weather potentials? Those hot, humid days often bring afternoon rain showers. We like to have a handy rain poncho in our bag so we won’t be caught soaked in the downpour!

This is a great ultra-light option that is breathable and comes with its own stuff stack (so the rest of the items in your bag won’t get wet after the rain has stopped!). It will fit nicely in your bag and you’ll be prepared for those afternoon, Florida showers!

Sunscreen

You know, since we’ve been talking about the weather in Florida let’s keep going with that. We hate when we forget to apply sunscreen before leaving the hotel. But one way to alleviate that (and be prepared to reapply later in the afternoon) is to have your trusty park bag sunscreen!

Sunscreen is a MUST in Disney World! You don’t want to end up like Rudolph in the middle of summer (you know, a big red nose!). Keeping a small tube of sunscreen with you can help keep your skin safe from the burning, Florida sun.

 Compact Wallet

Ok, we’re finally done talking about the weather. The next item we always have in our park bag is pretty obvious: a wallet! But we don’t like to carry around big, clunky wallets that will take up a ton of space and weigh our bag down. We much prefer small, compact wallets that have just the necessities like this one!

 Spare Ears

Are you really doing Disney if you’re not wearing Minnie or Mickey ears? We all love to wear our ears around the park, but what if you brought more ears with you than the number of days you’ll be in the park like we do? Well, that’s why you might want to bring some spare ears with you in your park bag!

Ear Holder

Well, if you’re bringing spare ears with you, they may not fit perfectly in your bag. We’ve seen lots of people using these adorable ear holders that just simply attach to the outside of your bag! They are super convenient.

You just simply clip it to your bag, stick the ears through the loop, make sure it’s snug, and you’re good to go! No more trying to cram awkwardly-shaped ears into your bag, and you get to show them off even if you’re not wearing them.
