What’s one thing that can unexpectedly mess up your Disney World trip? Closures!
Whether it’s rides going down for weather and technical difficulties or scheduled refurbishments of hotels, restaurants, attractions, and pools, a closure that you weren’t prepared for can really upset your schedule. That’s why we’re here to warn you about a BIG closure coming in the future!
The Disney World website was recently updated to note that from January 2025 to May 2025, the Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool will be CLOSED at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club.
This closure is due to routine maintenance and guests staying at those resorts may hear construction noises during the daytime. During the closure, guests are welcome to swim at the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools.
This is a particularly notable closure because Stormalong Bay is often regarded as the “best” pool in Disney World since it’s largest and has a sand bottom. This closure will likely affect where families with children choose to stay during those early 2025 months.
We’ll keep you updated with any additional closures that are announced in the coming months, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest news. We want to make sure you know about all of the closures that could affect your trip!
