Various faces from the show’s totem poles are pictured in relief on each side of the ceramic mug.

In the show, the totem poles are against the walls of the theater. The faces on the totems come to life when they sing, with their mouths opening and closing, and their eyes moving.

The Trader Sam’s bowl has the same shiny brown finish as the mug and is designed to look like a roughly broken barrel on the sea floor. “Trader Sam’s” is across the side of the barrel. It resembles the Trader Sam’s sign at Disneyland Resort.

The coral reef bottom can be pulled away as a separate bowl for dips. It’s divided into two sections.

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel became a fan-favorite location after opening in 2011. Deriving its name from a character from the Jungle Cruise attraction, the venue is rich in theming and quality beverages, and thus, guests often face long wait times in order to enjoy the experience.

The bar received an East Coast counterpart when Trader Sam’s Grog Gotto opened at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2015. Though aesthetically different in theming, the venues contain similar menus.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room recently celebrated its 60th anniversary at Disneyland Park. It opened in California in 1963. Tropical Serenade, which was identical except for the pre-show, was an opening day attraction in 1971 at Magic Kingdom.

Tropical Serenade closed in 1997 to become The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management) featuring Iago from “Aladdin” and Zazu from “The Lion King.” Though this version of the show was widely disliked, it remained in place until an attic fire in 2011. The original version of the show was then mostly restored and had its name reverted to the original title from Disneyland.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is hosted by four macaws: José, Michael, Pierre, and Fritz. The show is approximately 15 minutes long and has about 150 audio-animatronics. It features original music by the Sherman Brothers. In California, it was sponsored by United Airlines from 1963 to 1976 and has been sponsored by Dole Foods (creators of the Dole Whip) ever since. At Walt Disney World, it was sponsored by Florida Citrus Growers until 1986.
