Tokyo DisneySea’s New Fantasy Springs Rides, Dining, & More

By all accounts, Japan’s version of a Disney theme park is nothing short of impressive. With two major parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, guests of this Disney region have a unique opportunity to enjoy a different approach to theme park life. Known for their attention to detail and celebration of all things cute, the experience on offer at the Tokyo-based Disney Resort has a wonderful integration of Japanese food and culture while also offering some of what is arguably one of the best theme park experiences in the world. Get ready for the stakes to be raised! In Spring 2024, Tokyo DisneySea will be welcoming the eighth port in the park, Fantasy Springs.

Brand new details have just been announced for the new port that will host the areas Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom, including information on attractions, restaurants, and the new resort that will stand alongside the port. Let’s take a look:

Rapunzel’s Forest – New Attraction + Restaurant

A tower stands in Rapunzel’s Forest where the long-haired princess, Rapunzel, has lived since she was a child. Here you can experience Rapunzel’s “best day ever” on Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction, where Rapunzel falls in love with Flynn Rider on a romantic boat ride to the annual Lantern Festival. When a hungry stomach comes calling after this love-filled adventure, enjoy a meal at The Snuggly Duckling restaurant, reminiscent of the establishment by the same name from the film, in a variety of atmospheric dining areas.

Peter Pan’s Never Land – Two Attractions + Dining

Adventures await throughout Peter Pan’s Never Land where guests can explore a pirate ship, dine in a secret hideaway or encounter pirates. Experience Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, join the Lost Kids as they explore Never Land with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as well as help rescue John from Captain Hook. Elsewhere, guests can help Tinker Bell deliver parcels and packages to the four seasonal areas of Pixie Hollow on the Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies attraction.

Dine like the Lost Kids at Lookout Cookout, which is also their hideout! Made from found objects and shipwrecked parts, not only can you enjoy delicious food, but also beautiful views of Never Land.

Frozen Kingdom – New Attraction + Restaurant & Snack Cabin

Set after the events of “Frozen,” Frozen Kingdom is a place of happiness where Queen Elsa has embraced her ice magic. During Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, relive the tale of two sisters and how they discovered that true love can thaw a frozen heart alongside fan-favorite songs from the film.

At Royal Banquet of Arendelle restaurant, you will find both an indoor and a covered outdoor dining area with beautiful views of the fjord cliffs and mountains in the distance. In need of a snack? Oaken, the owner of the cabin and sauna featured in the film, has you covered at Oaken’s OK Foods.

Who else just opened up a separate tab to check on flights to Japan? If that isn’t enough, there will also be a new Fantasy Springs Resort that will sit alongside the eighth port, offering a French cuisine-based buffet and the Grand Paradis Lounge. Though Disney says that officially, inspiration has been drawn from whimsical tales such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Tangled, and Sleeping Beauty, you might agree that in the concept art shown below, the exterior has a distinct Little Mermaid vibe to it.
