This Halloween season at Disneyland, the Hungry Bear Restaurant is serving six new items, so you can celebrate during every course of your meal.
Hungry Bear Restaurant
Hungry Bear Restaurant is located in Critter Country near Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes and across from the future Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Halloween Menu
- BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger – $15.99
- Red Pepper Cheese Onion Rings – $8.99
- Red Pepper Cheese Fries – $7.99
- Pumpkin Churro Funnel Cake – $11.99
- Chai-spiced Pumpkin Iced Tea – $6.99
- Huckleberry Lemonade – $6.49 (or $17.99 in souvenir Hungry Bear Mason Jar)
*NEW* BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger – $15.99
1/3 lb Angus Chuck Patty, Red Pepper Cheese Sauce, Onion Rings, Bacon, and BBQ Sauce, served with choice of Cuties® Mandarin Oranges or French Fries
This burger is unapologetically dry. Though two sauces — red pepper cheese sauce and traditional barbecue sauce — are advertised, neither are prevalent or noticeable. The quality of the burger itself isn’t great, and that, combined with the fried texture of the onion ring and lack of sauce, only magnifies the dryness. The thickness of the bacon is a nice touch, however.
The fries are standard Disneyland Resort fries.
A bit more of either sauce (or preferably both) would’ve moved this burger closer to a winner, but in its current state, it leaves a lot to be desired.
*NEW* Red Pepper Cheese Onion Rings – $8.99
The onion rings at Hungry Bear are typically quite tasty, and these are no exception. They’re crispy and crunchy, and the red pepper cheese sauce does add a nice kick (which would’ve been welcomed on the burger). This is definitely our favorite offering on Hungry Bear’s Halloween menu.
*NEW* Red Pepper Cheese Fries – $7.99
This dish is similar in concept to the Red Pepper Cheese Onion Rings, as it’s just a base Hungry Bear side dish (french fries, in this instance) topped with the red pepper cheese sauce. We prefer the Red Pepper Onion Rings, as we think the normal onion rings at Hungry Bear are better than the fries, but that’s not to say that this is a bad dish. The sauce does add a nice heat and flavor to the otherwise standard fries, we just wish you got more of them.
*NEW* Pumpkin Churro Funnel Cake – $11.99
Cinnamon Sugar, Caramel Sauce, Pumpkin Ice Cream and Whipped Topping
This is hands down one of the best Halloween desserts this year. For a funnel cake, it’s light and fluffy, with the churro texture making it nice and crispy on the outside, but there’s softer dough on the inside.
The pumpkin flavor mostly comes from the ice cream on top (which is part of a cute “hidden” Mickey along with two dollops of whipped cream).
It all works well together. We recommend splitting it between two people.
*NEW* Chai-Spiced Pumpkin Iced Tea – $6.99
Iced Tea, Chai Tea-flavored Syrup, Pumpkin Purée Cream and Pumpkin Candy Crystals
This beverage is surprisingly quite good. It’s definitely heavier on the chai flavor than it is the pumpkin, but there’s certainly a hint of pumpkin, and the two tastes do play off each other well. We weren’t expecting to enjoy this as much as we did, but it’s simply a well-rounded, tasty drink. If you’re a fan of chai, you should definitely check this one out.
*NEW* Huckleberry Lemonade – $6.49 (or $17.99 in Souvenir Hungry Bear Mason Jar)
with Blueberry Garnish
Though this is just a seasonal offering, we think it may be the best beverage currently available at Hungry Bear. It’s super light and refreshing, and the sweetness is underlined by a subtle tangy-ness to create a cohesive beverage that can effectively cool you off underneath the California sun.
The blueberries that come in the drink are a nice touch, as is the Hungry Bear-branded Mason jar that’s available at an additional cost. The character featured on the jar is Humphrey the Bear, a little-used Disney character that debuted in the 1950 Goofy short “Hold That Pose.” The cup has been available at Hungry Bear Restaurant since 2021.

Halloween offerings at Disneyland will be available through November 9, unless otherwise noted.
