Magic Kingdom

• Crews are reconstructing the top of what was once Splash Mountain and will now be Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, adding more to the barn mural in the ride’s queue.
• Less than a month after the Crispy Chicken Dumplings replaced the fried pork and vegetable pot stickers at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom, a new option of Crispy Beef Dumplings has joined them — and we gave them a try.

EPCOT

• Flags have been added to the Belle and Aurora meet and greet spots at the France Pavilion of EPCOT, better marking where the princesses appear. This was done as part of World Princess Week celebrations in August.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• One pair of sliding glass doors has been installed on a guest room of the new Disney Vacation Club tower under construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

New Merchandise

• A new Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground rucksack by Loungefly is available at Meadow Trading Post, the resort’s gift shop near Pioneer Hall.
• Mickey & Friends become The Avengers and other superheroes on a new Disney100 Marvel Loungefly backpack available at Walt Disney World.

Other Walt Disney World News

• Nazis protested outside Walt Disney World again, hanging a derogatory banner over the resort entrance sign, mocking the Star of David and spreading obscene untruths targeted at people based on religion, race, and sexual orientation.

Disneyland Resort

• The Lock, Shock, and Barrel straw clip (inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas”) has returned to the Disneyland Resort for the 2023 Halloween season.
• We took photos and a full video of the Halloween Screams Nighttime Spectacular, also making its return.
• The Spicy Chili Dog provided more scares than anything else on the Refreshment Corner Halloween menu.
• Meanwhile, the Pecan Pie Sundae added a scrumptious seasonal crunch over at The Golden Horseshoe.

Disneyland Paris

• Ortensia and Tinker Bell are meeting guests for an AP Pop Up Surprise at Disneyland Paris.

Entertainment and Media

• The release date for the second set of Disney Lorcana is now confirmed, with characters from “Raya and the Last Dragon” and “Winnie the Pooh” included.

Disney+

• Disney has pushed several Marvel Disney+ series release dates back, including “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” & “Echo” amid the ongoing WGA & SAG-AFTRA strikes.
