Usually, people don’t put the word “relaxing” and Disney World in the same sentence.
There is so much to do, and so many people, and we know families are not always the most relaxing to be around on a Disney trip. But we at DFB have come up with a list of the best ways to relax at Disney World, because contrary to beliefs, it is possible.
Relaxing Inside the Parks
1. Watching Shows
One of our favorite things to do when we’re hot and in need of a break is find a show. The Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! in Animal Kingdom, and Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in Hollywood Studios are all indoors, provide comfy seating, and most importantly, AIR CONDITIONING!
Shows also provide great entertainment for the kids, so they’ll be so into watching their favorite characters on stage, that they’ll won’t be asking for another churro!
2. Riding Boat Rides
Another way we like to relax while we are in the parks is to ride a calmer, more relaxing ride. Some of our go-to relaxing rides are Pirates of the Caribbean (Magic Kingdom), Living with the Land (EPCOT), Na’vi River Journey (Animal Kingdom), and The Gran Fiesta Tour (EPCOT). These all take you on a slow-moving, air-conditioned, boat ride. It truly is relaxing.
Relaxing After the Parks
When we are finally done for the day, or taking a mid-afternoon break, we like to use a few of these to help us relax and recuperate! It’ll be like having a spa in your own room.
1. Massage Gun
Now, no one is going to tell you to bring this to Disney World, but we totally will! I mean come on, sometimes you just need to massage out your feet, your neck, or legs. Bringing one of these along on your trip could help tremendously! The Fusion Pro Muscle Massage Gun could do just the trick to help you relax after all that walking!
The Fusion Pro massage gun has different speed settings and multiple head adapters! It’s great to target all those aching spots after a long day in the parks.
This massage gun is sure to help you relax!
2. Under Eye Masks
Instead of spending all your money on a trip to the spa, you can bring some of the spa comforts to your hotel room! While you lay down for a quick nap, you can throw on these under-eye patches!
If you’re rope-dropping and staying in the parks late, your eyes might start looking a bit dark and puffy. But these eye patches help with those dark circles and puffiness! Stay looking refreshed with them!
3. Hydrating Foot Mask
Dr. Scholl’s really knew feet and we know Disney is not a walk in the park. You’ll be putting on miles and miles walking around and Park Hopping. That’s why this Dr. Scholl’s foot mask is sure to help heal your cracked skin after being in tennis shoes all day!
Your feet will certainly thank you!
Here’s a link for the foot mask!
4. Get Deep Sleep!
It’s really important to get good sleep while you’re at Disney World to help you stay relaxed and ready for the day. We found the perfect way to help you get that sleep and to feel rested! The deep sleep pillow spray is scented with lavender, chamomile, and vetivert to help you get a great night’s rest!
This spray could help you fall asleep faster and wake up refreshed!
5. Foot Massage Roller
Can you tell that we know the beating your feet are going to take while you’re at Disney World? We get it, we really do. That’s why our last tip for relaxing at Disney World is to bring along a foot massage roller like this one!
The studs will provide a deep tissue massage on those achy feet and help with arch pain. Trust us, don’t ignore your feet on your trip!
We know a trip to Disney World isn’t always the most relaxing, but there are moments when it can be. We encourage you to find these moments so you can enjoy where you are! And if you’re bored hanging out in your hotel room maybe you want to get some online shopping in by trying out a FREE trial of Amazon Prime!
We hope these tips help you enjoy your trip just a little bit more! Check back to DFB for all your Disney World updates!
