Walt Disney Imagineering shared a new video of Imagineers discussing their inspiration and process for redesigning the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris. The Disneyland Hotel is undergoing a “royal transformation” and will reopen on January 25, 2024.
The Lobby
Art Director Sylvie Massara spoke about creating the hotel’s new lobby, which is inspired by the library from “Beauty and the Beast.”
She drew inspiration from castles and the hotel’s existing architecture, including the large fireplace.
The video provides a first look at the light structure featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle surrounded by drops of crystal.
The Signature Suites
Set designers Sophie Coudré and Thomas Muller spoke about the hotel’s sixteen signature suites celebrating five classic Disney stories: “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tangled,” and “Frozen.” There will also be the “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired Princely Suite and Royal Suite “Frozen.” Disneyland Paris released concept art of the suites and other hotel rooms earlier this month.
