Everybody Tells Us NOT to Tell You This Disney World Secret. But We’re Doing It Anyway.

Disney World vacations can be complicated.

Welcome to Disney World!

When you’re planning a trip — especially your FIRST trip — you start to realize how BIG Disney World is — 40+ square miles, and how many choices there are for hotels.

Maybe you read an article or two online with Disney World tips, or you ask for advice from your cousin Julie who seems to take her kids every summer. You arrive, check-in, go through the turnstile at Magic Kingdom, and … wow. There’s that castle at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.

Magic Kingdom

You have a GREAT time with your family riding all the big rides you’ve heard about, and munching on popcorn and Mickey-shaped pretzels. But if you’re like me, you probably start to think, “What am I missing?”

Mickey Pretzel!

Where did that couple get those amazing looking cocktails they were drinking in EPCOT? Where did those kids get the bao buns in Animal Kingdom? Wait. There’s a fancy sit-down restaurant in the middle of Hollywood Studios? How do I get reservations for THAT?

Don’t get me wrong. The show up and fly by the seat of your pants method of doing Disney World suits a lot of us just fine. But if you’re like me — wondering why in the world people are waiting 4 hours for a COOKIE in Disney Springs — you will experience a LOT of Disney World FOMO if you go without a plan for dining.

Is this cookie worth the 4-hour wait?

Luckily, you don’t have to go without a plan, because we’re going to help you make one. All you need is our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining!

That’s right, we’re letting you in on ALL our Disney World secrets — secret tips, secret menus, and secret LOUNGES, like the one I’m telling you about today.

When you go to Disney World you have GOT to go to Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Now to be totally honest, I WANT to gatekeep this gem of a place, but AJ won’t let me.

Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom

Nomad Lounge is tucked away next to Tiffin’s — Animal Kingdom’s signature restaurant. And I promise you, you will FORGET you are in a busy theme park when you visit. It’s usually not a challenge to get on the walk-up waitlist here, and when your seat is ready, you’ll find creative cocktails, craft beers, and small plates to nosh on, like a tuna poke bowl, honey-chili glazed pork belly, and churros with two dipping sauces.

Churros!

Now, I am — quite literally — a nomad (I travel full-time), so excuse me for feeling like I own the place. But I promise you, your Aunt Roberta who has been to Disney World 12 times has probably never heard of it, and it’s too good to miss. It’s cool, it’s delicious, it’s relaxing, and look at that Discovery River view!

Discovery River

So please don’t tell anyone I told you about this, because we don’t want this absolute TREASURE to be over-run. And be sure to grab our DFB Guide TODAY so that you can get all of the secrets we’re spilling there to make your trip that much more memorable and delicious!
