Not all rides are built the same — some are much harder to get on than others.

Whether that’s because the ride has a Virtual Queue (we’re looking at you, TRON Lightcycle / Run) or it has one of the longest lines in the park, there’s a reason that we warn you about attractions like Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash. But there’s been a huge update involving an EPCOT ride and it has certainly impacted the wait times!

Yes, EPCOT is nearing the end of its ginormous transformation that has been going on for YEARS at this point. As of September 22nd, the 100th anniversary celebrations have also kicked off in the park with a new statue, mural, meet and greet, and more! On this same day, Soarin’ saw a major change — Soarin’ Over California came back!

At Destination D23 this year, Disney announced that Soarin’ Over California would return to EPCOT for the first time since it switched to Soarin’ Around the World and fans were EXCITED. That orange grove smell?! We can’t blame everyone for being hyped up about it!

Because of this, lines at the attraction got much longer than they were before. Although lines were especially long on the day of its return, wait times have continued to climb. Not only that, but it has brought more people to the park so other EPCOT wait times saw huge jumps this week as well!

That is reflected in our average wait times below — check them out for every single attraction below!

Magic Kingdom

Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 67 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 60 minutes so the average has increased.

Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 58 minutes, Jungle Cruise averaged 44 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 42 minutes, and Haunted Mansion averaged 41 minutes. Average wait times held Pirates of the Caribbean at 31 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 30 minutes, Enchanted Tales with Belle at 29 minutes, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 28 minutes, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 27 minutes, followed by Astro Orbiter at 24 minutes.

After that, Tomorrowland Speedway and “it’s a small world” averaged 18 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 15 minutes, closely followed by Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 14 minutes. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover also averaged 14 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin averaged 12 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant averaged 15 minutes, and Mad Tea Party averaged 11 minutes.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel averaged 9 minutes and other attractions like Enchanted Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Carousel of Progress, and Liberty Square Riverboat all tied at 5-minute average wait times.

The Country Bear Jamboree and Tom Sawyer Island were walk-ons this week.

How to Predict if Magic Kingdom Will Be Crowded When You’re There

EPCOT

Heading over to EPCOT, Frozen Ever After has the spot for the longest wait time in the park with a 77-minute average. This is a huge increase from last week’s 63-minute average. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was the next highest with a 76-minute average which has increased a lot since last week.

Next up is Test Track at 58 minutes, Soarin’ at 45 minutes (a 13-minute average jump since last week), Mission: SPACE at 18 minutes, Journey into Imagination and Spaceship Earth at 16 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 15 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 14 minutes.

Then, Gran Fiesta Tour averaged 12 minutes and Living with the Land averaged 13 minutes.

Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had no wait times this week.

Why You Might Want To AVOID EPCOT on December 5th

This week, Slinky Dog Dash also saw a big increase this week from 71 minutes to 83 minutes on average. This is the longest wait time in the park. Rise of the Resistance is next in this park with 72 minutes which is an increase from last week.

Other wait times in the park increased this week including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at 60 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 59 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 58 minutes, Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at 50 minutes, and Tower of Terror at 48 minutes,

After that, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 33 minutes, Walt Disney Presents averaged 18 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy averaged 13 minutes, Star Tours — The Adventure Continues averaged 11 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D averaged 10 minutes,

Animal Kingdom

Now, let’s head over to Animal Kingdom! Avatar Flight of Passage still had the longest average wait time in all of Disney World this week with 91 minutes.

Following that, Na’vi River Journey at 70 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 37 minutes, Expedition Everest at 27 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 24 minutes, and DINOSAUR at 18 minutes.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 10 minutes and Triceratop Spin averaged 8 minutes. Both The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail were walk-ons.
