EPCOT has been through a lot these past few years.

The massive EPCOT Transformation is slowly but surely heading towards completion, and today marks another major milestone. The newest attraction has been open for Annual Passholder and DVC previews over the past few weeks, but Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is officially (sort of!) open in EPCOT!

Journey of Water is a walkthrough attraction in World Nature that follows the water cycle. It allows guests to interact with “magical, living water” in a self-guided tour. The attraction is heavily themed to Moana due to her story and connection to water.

We got a chance to walk through the experience during Cast Member previews, but now it’s in a soft opening phase! It officially opens on October 16th, but as of October 6th, you may be able to check it out early.

Currently, Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana is operating with a virtual queue system. This may change as demand for the attraction fluctuates, but Cast Members are expecting that it will be particularly popular on the first day of the soft opening, as well as during the evening.

To join the virtual queue, check out the virtual queue section on the homepage of the My Disney Experience app. The queue opened at 9AM on the first morning for visitors to join a boarding group. Once your boarding group is called, you’ll only have a limited amount of time to return to the attraction.
