Walt Disney World has announced that beginning on January 9, 2024, guests with theme park tickets that include Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass will once again be able to visit another theme park at ANY TIME OF DAY during that park’s operating hours (subject to capacity limitations). Since its return in 2021, guests have only been able to utilize the Park Hopper feature after 2 p.m. daily.
So, suppose you’ve got your heart set on beginning your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, enjoying breakfast with your favorite Disney Junior Stars at Hollywood & Vine, followed by heading over to EPCOT on the Disney Skyliner to check out Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, you’ll be able to do that without having to worry about what time it is. The return of this flexibility will allow guests to make the most of their days during their Walt Disney World visits.
On days when theme park reservations are required for Annual Passholders and specific non-dated tickets, Passholders and guests will be able to take advantage of the updates to Park Hopper access after visiting their first park.* For example, if a Passholder has a reservation at EPCOT and enters the park at 9 a.m. for a quick ride or two, they can then head to another park right afterward.
Earlier this year, Walt Disney World announced that park reservations would no longer be required for guests with date-based theme park tickets beginning January 9, 2024.
Disney also confirmed that the previously announced “good-to-go days” will begin sometime in January for Annual Passholders. With “good-to-go days,” Disney will update their park reservation calendar periodically, showing Passholders the days they can visit a Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation (blockout dates will still apply as they do now).
*To use the Park Hopper benefit, Annual Passholders must make a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit AND enter that first park prior to visiting another. Or, they can enter a theme park without a reservation on a “good-to-go” date for that park or after 2 p.m. (except Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays) before visiting another park.
