We Absolutely REFUSE To Stop Eating At This Disney World Restaurant

There are a bunch of Disney World restaurants you can visit while on vacation.

Magic Kingdom

Changing up where you eat while at Disney can be a good thing, but as they say — if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You may go to a  restaurant for the price. Another you may visit for the amazing food. Maybe it’s the incredible view you enjoy while eating your meal that keeps you going back to that one restaurant? Here is our unapologetic list of Disney World restaurants we will never stop going to.

For Breakfast

Most restaurants at Disney serve a pretty standard breakfast — eggs, bacon, and Mickey waffles. But Kona Cafe breaks out of that shell. While they do have traditional offerings, they are known for a few specific dishes that you won’t find at the others.

Kona Cafe

Kona Cafe is known for Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut Pancakes for breakfast. While you can grab the Tonga Toast at Capt. Cook’s, it does not come with that delicious strawberry compote, which is the icing on the cake (kinda) for this dish.

Tonga Toast

This alone is enough to keep us coming back. But being able to eat here and then hop on the monorail to Magic Kingdom is an added bonus.

For Lunch

When we’re in the parks, our reporters love heading to Satu’li Canteen when in Animal Kingdom. This quick service location is found in Pandora and has stolen our hearts. It sets the bar pretty high for quick-service restaurants at Disney World.

Satu’li Canteen

The menu is “inspired by Pandora’s bounty,” with an international influence to the cuisine. Customizable bowls and Steamed Pods (twists on Bao Buns) along with unique drinks and desserts are available at this lunch and dinner spot.

You can mobile order here, which we recommend, because it can get pretty busy during meal times.

For Dinner

Head to Disney Springs for one restaurant that we always feel at home at — Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. Celebrity Chef Art Smith (known as a BBQ Pitmaster Judge, author of Art Smith’s Healthy Comfort and other cookbooks, founder of Art and Soul in Washington, D.C. and Table Fifty-Two in Chicago, and former Chef to Oprah Winfrey) celebrates Southern and Floridian cuisine and “farm-to-fork” food at his Disney Springs restaurant.

You can grab some comfort food dishes here like the Fried Chicken and Doughnuts.

Reservations can be hard to come by so be sure to grab one 60 days before your trip.

For a Character Meal

For a character meal, there’s one we just love — Garden Grill. Located in The Land pavilion in EPCOTChip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast at Garden Grill Restaurant is hosted by the friendliest chipmunks around… and they’re joined by none other than Mickey Mouse and Pluto! These four characters provide ample entertainment at this family-style restaurant.

The food is served tableside in skillets here, and it’s an all-you-can-eat feast with your family for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Family-Style Dining at Garden Grill

The food here is consistently good, especially for character dining. Plus how cute is Farmer Mickey?

For the Family

Head over to Wilderness Lodge to Whispering Canyon Cafe for a good time. With a crew of wayward servers with their minds made up to make you laugh and all-you-can-eat down home grub served skillet-style (guests may also choose from a la carte selections), this restaurant is a great one to book for a casual good time — especially if you’re with a group!

The servers joke around with you and your kids can even participate in a horse race.
