New Disney100 Funko POP! Train Figures of Walt Disney, Mickey, Darth Vader, Woody, and Miles Morales

A new series of Funko POP! figures is available on Amazon for the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. The figures connect in a train, with Walt Disney himself leading in the engine. The other four figures are Mickey Mouse, Darth Vader, Woody, and Miles Morales — honoring Disney’s different studios.

The figure is clearly inspired by photos of Walt waving from the Ernest S. Marsh engine when it joined the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad (now just known as the Disneyland Railroad) in 1959.

Mickey in Steamboat – $15

The next figure is inspired by the first Mickey Mouse short that was shown to the public — “Steamboat Willie.” Mickey is depicted in black-and-white at the wheel of the steamboat. The car’s wheels are life preservers.

Darth Vader on TIE Fighter – $15

The Walt Disney Company has been celebrating its 100th anniversary with Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder, or Disney100, across Disney Parks & Resorts. October 16, 2023, is the company’s actual 100th birthday.

The 100 Years of Wonder celebration began at Disneyland Resort with “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland — currently paused for holiday spectaculars — and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. There is a platinum Mickey statue (which initially had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect) and a platinum Minnie statue in Disneyland.

In Florida, EPCOT has several new Disney100 offerings. At the Magic Eye Theater, guests can meet Mickey and Minnie in their platinum 100th anniversary outfits. Spaceship Earth lights up at night with a special Disney100 spectacle of light. There are also Disney100 decorations, a platinum Mickey statue just like the one in Disneyland, and a mural full of Disney characters.

Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” has its grand opening on October 16.

For the 100th anniversary, Hong Kong Disneyland unveiled a new Walt and Mickey statue, “Dream Makers,” inspired by the moment Walt dreamed up Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris had a 100th anniversary opening ceremony with 100 Disney characters, as well as a Disney100 pre-parade.

Disney’s upcoming animated film “Wish” will honor 100 years of Disney with “legacy nods” to classic films. “Wish,” which uses a mix of 2D and 3D animation, will be released in theaters on November 22. Each song from the film will be released on Wednesdays leading up to the movie’s release.

“Once Upon A Studio” aired on ABC on October 15 after a premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The short film also uses a combination of 2D and 3D animation, along with live-action footage. Disney brought back more than 40 voice actors to reprise their roles and pulled from the archives to use dialogue from past actors like Robin Williams as the Genie. “Once Upon a Studio” will play in front of “Wish” when the movie opens in theaters. It is also set to play in theaters before “Wish.”
